By the use of soft x-ray spectroscopy (photoemission, absorption, emission and so on), we study the electronic properties of compounds of transition metal and rare earth. We have grazing-incidence x-ray, Vodar soft x-ray, double-crystal x-ray, x-ray photoemission, and x-ray inverse photoemission spectrometers. We also use beamlines of PF (KEK, Tsukuba, Ibaraki) and SPring-8 (Harima, Hyogo)
